To Do List

1. Clear your web browsers cache, history and any other temporary files

You should do this on all devices and web browsers often. This helps your device and browser from slowing down. We would suggest also clearing any cookies, cached images

and temporary files at the same time.

Chrome is used by a lot of people so here’s a quick run-through to do this for the Chrome browser, go to the main Chrome menu using the 3 vertical dots on the upper right-hand corner and select “History”. In the new window that opens select “clear browsing data” from the left-hand menu, another window should show listing the type of browsing data you are able to clear. It will also ask you what time range you want to delete the data from, we suggest using the “all time” especially if this is the first time you have done it.

2. Remove unused browser extensions

Whilst we are checking over our web browser let’s check if there are any unused browser extensions that might be causing things to slow down. These extensions use up your device’s memory causing general performance issues. If using Chrome click the small puzzle icon in the top right-hand corner of your browser, then click on the 3 dots that appear in the dropdown menu next to the name of any extension you don’t want and finally click to remove it. You should remove any browser extension you don’t recognise or use as a good rule of thumb you should remove anything you don’t use or recognise from your device anyway.

3. Back up and clear important/large files

It’s important to perform routine back-ups of your data anyway, but by backing them up and removing any unused or overly large files you can help maintain your devices performance. Doing this frequently can help maintain performance.https://youtu.be/44lwOaQ6C_M?si=P0eSP1VegLMbnyB0

Digital Leads Tips

1. Stay up to date on digital marketing trends: Digital marketing is constantly evolving, and as a digital lead, it’s important to stay up to date on the latest trends and best practices. Follow industry leaders, read industry publications, and attend webinars and conferences to keep your skills sharp and stay ahead of the competition.

2. Develop a data-driven approach: Digital marketing is all about data. Use analytics tools to track website traffic, engagement rates, and other key metrics to inform your strategy. Develop a data-driven approach to your digital marketing efforts and use your insights to optimize your campaigns and achieve better results.

3. Foster strong relationships with other teams: Digital marketing touches many areas of the business, from product development to customer service. As a digital lead, it’s important to foster strong relationships with other teams to ensure that your digital marketing efforts are aligned with the overall goals of the business. Collaborate with other teams to develop integrated campaigns that achieve the best possible results for the business.

Cyber Tips

Implement strong passwords: One of the most effective ways to protect your business from cyber-attacks is to use strong passwords. Make sure all employees use unique passwords that are at least 12 characters long and contain a mix of uppercase and lowercase letters, numbers, and symbols. Avoid using easily guessable information, such as birthdates or common words.

Use anti-malware software: Malware can cause significant damage to your business, so it’s essential to have anti-malware software installed on all company devices. This can help protect against viruses, spyware, and other malicious software that could compromise your business’s data.

Staff Training: Your employees are your first line of defence against cyber-attacks. Make sure they understand the importance of cyber security and provide training on how to identify potential threats, such as phishing scams. Encourage them to report any suspicious activity and ensure they are aware of your company’s security policies and procedures.

Marketing Tips

1. Video Marketing

Video Marketing is continuing to grow. Users and audience members have smaller attention spans than ever before. Video is being pushed on all Social Media platforms now, twitter recently increased the length of video uploads for their blue tick subscribers from 1 hour to 2-hour long videos for example. Start to experiment with video in your marketing and develop a video content schedule to help you plan the production, editing and posting.

2. Check the balance between value content and sales content

The content you produce should align with your marketing strategies and current goals. However, it’s important to remember that there are different types of content which can all work towards achieving the same goal. Are most of your posts pushing a direct sale? Advertising an offer? Look to find a balance between that type of content and content which supplies direct value to your customers.

3. Develop a networking strategy

Don’t forget to develop connections and widen your professional network. Having a strong network around yourself or your company allows you multiple opportunities to reach audiences you might not have considered before or had the ability to reach.

Social Media Tips

1. Use the power of Social Listening

You should know what social media platforms your customers use the most. You are likely posting on them frequently as part of that all-important Digital Marketing strategy! If your customers are on that platform, then they are talking on that platform too. Search the platforms for any customer feedback, any mentions of your brand or specific keywords relating to you, your competition or your industry and see what is being said.

2. Check on posting frequency

Have you been consistent with posting across all Social Media platforms recently? Have you neglected to post on one or more? Perform a quick check on each for when you last posted and check that against any social media calendar or content calendar you have and ensure you are keeping with your targeted activity levels. Remember, posting regularly is important!

3. Use all the lovely user-generated content

When we do well our customers let us know in many ways. Social media encourages people to share details of their day and lives, there is a high chance that in their own posts and content your audience is putting up photos or content around your brand and products etc. Share those posts! It gives a nudge to your customer and its free content, win win.
